Ingredients

  • 1 lavash bread (around 110 g)
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced (2 for the dip, 3 for the chips)
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (or regular salt)
  • fresh dills
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 185°C (365°F).
  • Take a medium bowl (preferably one that can be closed with a lid) or a food-grade ziplock bag.
Add torn lavash pieces, minced garlic (3 cloves), salt (0.5 teaspoons), olive oil, and dills (and any other additional spices to your liking) to the bowl/bag.
  • Close the lid/bag and shake for half a minute to allow all the ingredients to mix well.
  • Line your baking pan with parchment paper and distribute the lavash pieces evenly. Make sure that they don't overlap.
  • Bake in the oven until golden brown and crispy. Depending on your oven, it should take around 5-10 minutes.
  • While the lavash chips are baking, prepare the dip. In a small bowl, combine sour cream, salt (0.5 teaspoons), dills, and garlic cloves (2 cloves). Mix well.
  • Serve the chips with the sour cream dip and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the shape and size of the lavash chips to your liking.
  • Tear or cut the lavash pieces using scissors or a pizza cutter.
  • Make sure to use salt moderately in order not to oversalt the lavash chips, or it will ruin the snack.
  • Experiment with different dips and sauces commonly used to complement chips and fresh vegetables. These are usually based on sour cream or yogurt.
  • The amount of salt is the total amount for the chips and the dip; be careful not to oversalt as it would ruin the whole snack - believe me, we've been there.
