We often build our weekly dinner plan around pork chops that we meal prep in advance to enjoy quick and satisfying meals on weekdays.
One-pan meals (including our favorite pork pilaf recipe) are my absolute favorite as they are quick to make, and nobody has to be punished with washing a pile of dirty pans. This one-pan pork chop recipe features juicy cherry tomatoes, a rich and creamy sauce, and a crunchy topping of baked cheese-impossible to resist!

These pork chops can be served as a standalone meal or paired with a salad (like our cucumber Caesar salad) or mashed potatoes when you have more time to cook.
Ingredients 🥘
- Pork chops: To speed up the process, prepare them in advance. Check out our meal prep guide for more details on our routine
- Cherry tomatoes: Healthy, juicy, and colorful (kids love colors!).
- Grated cheese: The choice is up to you, but you'll need one that melts well, like Cheddar.
- Heavy cream: The star of the sauce; you'll need enough to cover the largest part of the meat so it can soak up the sauce.
- Seasoning: Salt and pepper, nothing too fancy
- Fresh herbs for decorating: Totally optional, but again, kids love colors, and the juicy greens add a nice contrast to the finished dish

Step-By-Step Instructions 🔪
We always recommend stacking cooked pork chops in the fridge so you can make a satisfying dinner in no time. This is what we did this time. However, if you don't have cooked pork chops, you can easily make them from scratch-but plan for some extra time accordingly.
These pork chops can be used in many other ways as well. You might want to try our stir-fry teriyaki noodles, which we often serve with these pork chops.
To make the pork chops:
- Slice pork tenderloin thinly (the thinner the slices, the less likely you'll need to use a tenderizer).
- Heat up a pan and add butter or oil.
- Season each slice of pork with salt and ground black pepper, then dip it into plain flour, followed by scrambled egg, and finally breadcrumbs. Transfer to the pan and fry on both sides until cooked through.
Once you have the cooked pork chops at hand, proceed with the recipe.

Take the cooked pork chops and layer them in an oven-safe baking dish. Add some cherry tomatoes sliced in half.

Pour heavy cream over the meat and season with salt and ground black pepper to taste.

As a final layer, sprinkle generously with grated cheese.

Bake at 392°F (200°C) for approximately 15 minutes, or until a golden crust forms on top. Serve with fresh herbs and a side dish of your choice (optional).
