    Blueberries contain lots of nutrients, Vitamins K and C, and Manganese. They are powerful antioxidants and are famous for their positive impact on vision and blood pressure. Blueberries are also believed to be effective against aging and even cancer.

    Smoothie Ingredients

    To make this revitalizing smoothie, you'll need:

    • A handful of blueberries
    • 5 tablespoon blended strawberries (or a handful or two of fresh strawberries)
    • 1 banana
    • 150 ml almond milk
    • 1 teaspoon chia seeds

    Instructions

    1. Prepare the Ingredients: Wash the berries under cold running water, and remove any stems or pits, if present. Peel the banana.
    2. Combine the Ingredients: Add all the ingredients in a blender, starting with the almond milk.
    3. Blend Until Smooth: Cover the blender with the lid and blend on high speed until all the ingredients are well combined. If needed, adjust the amount of almond milk to achieve the desired thickness.
    4. Serve: Pour the smoothie into a glass and serve immediately.

    Can blueberries improve vision?

    If consumed regularly, blueberries are believed to significantly improve eyesight, help reduce the risk of cataracts, and even reverse vision loss in certain circumstances.
    While it might not work for everyone, it's definitely worth trying! This treat is a pleasure to consume and provides lots of other health benefits.

    Is this smoothie safe to consume on a keto diet?

    The majority of ingredients are 100% keto-friendly. Blueberries, strawberries, chia seeds, and almond milk are all allowed on keto. The only exception here is the banana.
    If you're on a keto diet, skip the banana and add a keto-friendly sweetener of your choice for extra sweetness. To make the smoothie thicker, you can add plain Greek yogurt.

    • When making smoothies, always start by adding liquid ingredients to the blender. This way, you'll avoid dry ingredients from blocking the bottom of the blender bowl and will ease up the blending process.
    • Use frozen strawberries and/or bananas for a cool and refreshing summer smoothie.
    • To make the smoothie even sweeter, add some extra banana or sweetener (syrup, monk fruit sweetener, sugar, or another), depending on your taste and dietary choices.
    • Use regular milk instead of almond milk (if there are no dietary restrictions).
